Fawn Spots – Gravelines

February 21, 2012

I’ve know the band Fawn Spots for a while. They listen to a lot of punk records and make some themselves.

This is the newest effort of theirs. It’s called Gravelines and features 15 minutes of stripped back punk rock. Yeah, the influences are fairly obvious but that’s not the point. It’s just a good fun record that’s full of dedication and it definitely shows. It’s nice to be reminded that people are still making the music they want to and not just following a trend. Fawn Spots are just two lads from York who want to play punk songs, play them loud and then get drunk after. It’s that simple.

The cassette is being out out on Tye Die Tapes and is up for pre order on their bandcamp page. Just buy it.
